Our settings are made-to-order with each one handcrafted for a center gem with unique characteristics to ensure the quality of the finished piece. For this reason, we do not provide stand-alone settings or semi mounts. Please let us know if we can assist you with selecting a center gem from Hatch Brilliance.

Do Hatch Brilliance diamonds look as good as mined diamonds
Yes! The only difference is the origin from which they are formed. Both have the same chemical, physical, and optical properties and are both cut from a rough diamond. Same hardness, refractive index, specific gravity and light dispersion. They are both indeed polished using the same equipment as well with and ending result in just as brilliant and spectacular.
Is it possible to tell the difference between a lab grown and mined diamond
It is impossible to tell the difference between the two. Only a gemological laboratory with specialized equipment can tell the difference. This is why it is so important that your diamond is laser inscribed.

Yes, we can accommodate your ring with 100% lab-grown diamonds
How long have lab-grown diamonds been around
December 16, 1954 was the first time a commercially successful lab-grown diamond was produced by GE. Lab-Grown diamonds have been used in a wide variety of uses including, power transmission, semi-conductors, sensors, optics, and medical. It's only been recently that they have been produced for amazing gem quality engagement rings and jewelry.
How are lab-grown diamonds grown
There are two kinds of productions, (CVD) Chemical Vapor Deposition and (HPHT) High Pressure-High Temperature. Both processes require a small diamond seed that is placed in a diamond in a low pressured microwave chamber. Hydrogen and methane gases are then released and the growing process begins. Then, a plasma ball ignites and carbon molecules rain down on the seed for it to grow layer upon layer. Around the 10-12 week time, a diamond is formed and ready to be sent for cutting and polishing. Hatch Brilliance white diamonds are grown with the CVD process.
